Kazhard, named after a mythological figure, is the planet from which Human life evolved, and is also the capitol world of the Kazhardi Republic.

The name is Urejadti in origin, coming from the roots "kazen" ("soil") and "hard" ("heart"). Over time, the final "en" of "kazen" was truncated verbally, and was eventually omitted from the written forms of the name as well.

As the planet slowly became drained of accessible resources, Ocean Mohr was colonized to gain access to potential riches under the waves. As the underwater sites became slowly more experimental and sovereign, war was on its way. To avoid this, the International Board of Trade (IBT) was created.

The IBT divided out the planet into trade zones, which corresponded primarily to similarity in exports and imports among the different nations. It also, however, took into account the primary languages spoken throughout the regions. For each trade zone, the IBT tasked a committee to design a constructed language for the region, which helped to standardize documents and reduce lingual imperialism. This transition was rocky at best, but the optimized unity of trade zones allowed groups of nations to assist each other with imports and exports, particularly in trade with the new riches of Ocean Mohr.
